I’d love to! The only problem is that it’s hard to find the time to do lots of events AND write the books, so I try and visit different areas each time I go on tour.

Thanks for the letter! I am very behind on my replies, oops. I do read them all though, so hold tight . . .

What about the email/message on social media?

I’m drowning in messages - sorry! I can’t personally reply to them all and I can’t do video requests (again, time!)

Who is your favourite character in the books?

Hmm, this is a tricky one because I love ALL of the characters. But if I had to choose one, I’d say Lottie because she feels so real to me now, that she is almost like a friend. I also love Jess because she’s unapologetically herself and she’s silly and lots of fun, just like Lottie.

Where do you get your inspiration from?

Lots of places! My old diaries, my sons, my teenage niece and my friend’s children. I love hearing the all the funny stories of things they got up to at school! A lot of it I also just make up in my crazy brain which is one of the best things about being an author!

Is Lottie based on anybody?

She’s party based on me I guess, a lot of Lottie’s worries and insecurities were my own… I was very shy and awkward when I started secondary school and I also had boring mousy brown hair and zero boobs!

How many Lottie Brooks books will there be in the series?

As long as you keep reading them . . . I’ll keep writing them 😊

Why don’t you make a TV show or Movie of Lottie Brooks?

I think that would be a fab idea but unfortunately, it’s not just up to me. If a TV or film company agree - then that would be FABULOUS!

Can I audition for a part In the TV show/Movie?

If there is ever a screen version of Lottie, then I would love for her and her friends to me played by regular everyday girls and boys – watch this space.

Which is your favourite book in the series?

This is a very difficult one to answer because it’s quite often the one I’ve just finished writing – however I think overall I’m going to say the first one because it’s where I it all started and where we first got to know the funny, awkward, shy and quirky Lottie Brooks.

What is your favourite colour?

Green.

What is your favourite animal?

Rabbit.

Pickled Onion obvs!
